Igloo Construction in Geneva
Normally, we have to travel to the Jura or the nearby Alps to build igloos…
These locations are usually less than an hour’s drive away. However, with the snow that fell in the city of Geneva on February 12, 2013, the members of the Teamway team decided to build one in the English Garden, facing the Jet d’Eau, a 5-minute walk from the office.

Once on site, and as soon as the first blocks were laid, passers-by, intrigued by our work, spontaneously offered their help, while others captured the scene by photographing the different construction phases.

Most people had never seen the construction of a traditional igloo. We practiced techniques for sawing blocks and the keystone system. After an hour and a half of effort, the igloo could accommodate three people.
It was an unusual achievement not commonly seen in downtown Geneva.

The Teamway team would like to thank everyone who participated in the success of this experience.
